Abstract
In certain pathologies such as coronary disease, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, congenital sticky platelet syndrome, platelets would develop hyperactivity, that could increase the risk, associated with other factors, for thrombotic complications. Increased reactivity could be assessed by light transmission aggregometry, using ADP and epinephrine agonists at sub-aggregating or submaximal concentrations.
